Hollywood split-ups may have become common these days, but please rule out the Beckhams. They're not the Gores, nor Sandy and Jesse. And the rumor circulating at Twitter that they are on the verge of calling it quits is "Nonsense", so David and Victoria Beckham says according to the Daily Mail.

The Twitter rumor started when PR guy Andrew Bloch tweeted: "I am hearing from a number of sources that Victoria and David Beckham are due to announce their separation in a few hours."

The couple swiftly denied the rumor through David Beckham's long-time publicist Simon Oliviera, who tweeted Bloch back saying: "Didn't know you were the new Perez Hilton. I think I would be aware of that, utter nonsense. Have a word with your sources."

Although Bloch has since tweeted an update that the rumor is indeed a figment of imagination, the rumor has already circulated Twitterdom. Like smoke, it escaped to the Internet ether and picked up by websites and blogs, like this one.

Everyone thought Michael Jackson was broke when he died. News of the World (NOTW) reveals that he has left his children an incredibly large amount of money. The fortune will make his children -- 13-year-old Prince, 12-year-old Paris, and 8-year-old Blanket -- billionaires by 40. If they're careful with their spending, that is.

According to NOTW, Michael Jackson really died broke, but his death made him so popular that his lawyers cashed in on this through movie and music deals that got him $300M.

Michael Jackson's will splits this fortune 40-40-20 to his 3 children, his mother, and to charity. This leaves a trust fund of $33 million to each child. At 21, they will have access to a third of their money. At 30, half of it. And at 40, they get it in full.

His will forgot to mention his ex-wives, brothers, sisters, dad, and close friends.

This has caused "disquiet among Jackson family members," according to NOTW.

The friendly flirts took a private cruise -- albeit with 20 other guests -- on the Seine River. Sources say: "They were very close," and "They really warmed up the room."

People.com seemed to wax poetic over the softly-falling rain that fell on Paris as Jen and Gerald sailed on a luxury yacht. Jennifer Aniston and Gerald Butler was seen to be constantly "hugging and touching each other" on the cruise. And dining on salads, lobsters, and champagne. Wonder if "Moon River" played on board to complete the romantic mood?

The latest Hollywood news from the Huffington Post revolves around the "Photoshopping" efforts made on 47-year old Demi Moore's hips for the December issue of W magazine. Ryan Seacrest maybe sorry to see Paula Abdul resign as one of American Idol's judges, but the Chicago Sun-Times reports that he's perhaps the only one. Key Idol staff members are actually thrilled over her leaving, saying: "Can’t you hear our celebration? We broke out the good champagne tonight."

Why the cheers? Sources from the inner-circle of Idol say: "We are so tired of Paula’s tantrums, her constant diva behavior. ... She took the concept of ‘difficult’ to a whole new level. Thank God she’s gone."

Why did Paula Abdul leave American Idol? Reportedly, Paula Abdul wanted close to the same $45 million 3-yr deal that Ryan Seacrest recently inked with the American Idol management, and refused the final offer that would have doubled her annual salary of around $3 million. Rusty mathematics will show that's a measly $18 million in 3 years.

American Idol producers are confident the show will be fine despite Paula Abdul's leaving, and are already considering many singers to replace Paula, namely Diana Ross and Natalie Cole.

Some Hollywood claws are out, and they are ripping Katherine Heigl to shreds these days, the Los Angeles Times reports. Apparently, it's payback time for Heigl, who complained in a 2007 Vanity Fair interview that the film "Knocked Up", where she was given the leading role and a hefty paycheck, "paints the women as shrews" but shows the men as "lovable."

That rankled with her director, Judd Apatow, and co-actor, Seth Rogen, and just recently, at "The Howard Stern Show,” they teamed up to pummel Heigl. While promoting Apatow's new film "Funny People," Rogen took a stab at "The Ugly Truth,” Heigl's recent film which was the worst-reviewed movie of the summer. Because one critic called the movie a "sexist swill", Rogen sarcastically commented that it's hard to imagine how "The Ugly Truth" made women look any better, and: "That movie looks like it really puts women on a pedestal in a beautiful way." They went on to diss Heigl's movie with fascinating yet unprintable insights.

One supposes they went home happy after that. As for Katherine Heigl, be advised to fight with class, honey.

Taking rapping to uncertain levels, Eminem adds fuel to his conflict with Mariah Carey and her husband, "America’s Got Talent” host Nick Cannon with his latest production, a song called “The Warning,” where Eminem lets loose a volley of profane words and hints of "dirt" dug up against the singer, according to Access Hollywood.

The Eminem-Mariah Carey-Nick Cannon feud fest is a surreal "love" triangle, if you believe Eminem's claims in the song that he has slept with Mariah Carey "once.” Eminem previously embedded a message bomb in the song “Bagpipes from Baghdad” from his album “Relapse,” targeting Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon with the suggestion that the two should break up.

Then Nick Cannon called Eminem “Slim Lamey” in a blog post, and Mariah Carey seemingly responded in her “Obsessed” video with the chorus, “Why you so obsessed with me/lyin’ that you’re sexin’ me.”

Madonna's former bodyguard, Jim Albright, who later became her boyfriend, has turned entrepreneur in recent days. That's because Madonna's ex-boyfriend is expecting a small windfall to the tune of around $40,000 for turning over a 17-minute recording of erotic phone messages exchanged by Material Girl Madonna with Albright, caught charmingly in an answering machine, for auction.

The New York Daily News reports that the personal messages are expected to fetch $40,000 in a rock 'n' roll memorabilia auction this August, together with a 15-minute “very personal and intimate video” that Madonna gave Albright, and 21 steamy faxes that they exchanged, burning up the fax wires in those days between 1992 to 1994.

A sample of the naughty messages: "It would be sooooo nice," Madonna wrote, and urging Albright to "send me a fax. I'll be in my bed waiting for you."

An auction rep says of the Madonna memorabilia: “very personal items that we’re showing by appointment only, and that’s all I can say about it."

Are those claiming to grieve over Michael Jackson's death just pretending? Is this collective outpouring of grief from everyone everywhere around the globe all a big balloon of . . . hot air?

It's a hard question to ask, and the answer is even harder to tackle. But Hadley Freeman from the Guardian dares to ask and answer this question anyway. It's not easy given the current situation, where all TV and radio stations across the world broadcast the story of the life, music and death of the iconic Michael Jackson, hour after hour, over and over again. With Hollywood celebrities coming out of the woodwork to "pay tribute" of the "what a great man Michael Jackson was" variety, to "fans" gazing forlornly in front of the camera saying they love Michael Jackson so, and that they have tickets to his upcoming concert this year "This is it!"

Hadley Freeman thinks "that the desire for collective emotion leads only to false emotion" in the case of the death of Michael Jackson. Freeman touches on the "multiplicity" of media, saying "Jackson's was not an unblemished life and this makes it tricky for the news channels and tweeting celebrities who long for nothing more than to bathe in the soapy, sudsy pleasure of hyperbolic adoration and eulogies."

Many people share the same skepticism. While not in any way disdaining the feelings of truly grieving Michael Jackson fans, it's worth remembering that when he was alive, the Hollywood press fed Michael Jackson's quirky life unmercifully to the voracious appetite of fans. They consumed him and all that he was, but seldom was there a show of support for the man, more a show of mockery for his quirks. And now with his sudden passing and faced with all this belated tributes and accolades, well.... the irony of it is just too striking to ignore.

What's up with him? He has announced he is putting his career on hold to spend more time with family. Let's just take his word on it for now. Many think he only got back with his wife because Portman ditched him. If this is true, let's hope this guy straightens himself out. Being perplexed is so... inconvenient.

Some of the tweets she fired are cryptic, like intended for certain people: "Old habits die hard ;) - for some of us."

Shortly after: "I can't sleep. Samantha Ronson - it's your fault." In Hollywood, bluntness is sometimes next to cleanliness or something like that.

Then some more: "I love being alone. Feels safe coz I can only trust myself. Ya, sad. But I'm cool with it." Inane mutterings so common in Twitter but if you're one of Hollywood's princesses, could be read by tens of thousands of Twitter people.

And this clue-filled salvo: "Why do people cheat? When love is always standing right in front of their face(s)?? SR?"

If Twitter followers expected a tweet to end world hunger, they were disapointed.
